File Name: difference between salvation and redemption .zip
Redemption is an essential concept in many religions, including Judaism , Christianity and Islam. In Christian theology , redemption Greek: apolutrosis refers to the deliverance of Christians from sin. Most evangelical theologians and Protestant denominations reject Origen 's argument that God paid the ransom price of redemption to Satan. In Islam , redemption is achieved by being a Muslim and doing no action that would forfeit one's identification with Islam, being of sincere faith iman and doing virtuous actions.
Without the victory of the resurrection, the death of Jesus would have been in vain. For death by itself is no victory, no matter how well-meaning the sacrificial lamb, no matter how noble the cause. Through His resurrection, Christ broke the power of death once and for all time. Salvation was not completed only because of the cross. It was completed by the victory of the empty tomb. In Old Testament times, it was required that sacrifices be made to cover the penalty of sin. This temporary redemption involved offering food and animal sacrifices as a substitution for the sin of the people in the tabernacle.
The difference between redemption and salvation can be better explained in the context of Christianity as redemption and salvation are two beliefs in the religion of Christianity. Although both are actions of God, there is some difference in the way they should be viewed by the Christians. There are also several ways to look at each term. Since both refer to saving humans from sin, what distinguished one term from the other is how this saving is done. As a result, there is a difference between the two concepts and one has to understand this difference, to know more about the dogmas of Christianity. This article makes discussing difference between redemption and salvation its objective. In other words, it can be said that God has a greater role to play in redemption than in salvation.
